Eleanor decided this morning that turning eight is pretty cool.
After all, it is 'Hachi' in Japanese - the name of her favorite dog.
It's also a pretty cool number to write without lifting your pencil.
It is the mathematical symbol representing infinity (turned sideways).
"Maybe I'll always have a little of EIGHT in me, Mom, like... forever."
