It was a rough day at the Littles. No room left in daycare so I had to turn to what other than...Doggie Daycare. Eleanor thought she could look like a dog for a day. I mean, after all, there are more daycares FOR DOGS than for children in Portland. Fun fact of the day.
Actually, we had a great day visiting the "Pixie Project," an animal rescue non-profit sponsored by the Virginia Woof Doggie Daycare. Since we have yet to convince Jason that a pet really would bring joy to our house, the girls and I decided to play with some animals after whom we did not have to clean up. BUT, it was a close call to not come home with a Dachsund puppy named Rolo who especially like Rynn. He was SOOO cute.
if any of my kin use this post as collateral to urge me to change my mind on a pet I will be forced to employ drastic measures of recompense.
ReplyDeleteWell, from MY experience it only worked once Terry was willing and ready...we tried about 4 times before he was ready, and each time it ended in a new home for the dog. Samantha, a boxer, Bilbo, and Perdy.... Biscuit was the winning dog, and he was Terry's idea (although Gretchen and I prayed his heart would soften and desire a dog)! We had Biscuit for 15 years, and she was a GREAT pet!

I'm NOT recommending this, but I never asked. I just brought the animals home and endured Dale's frustration until he warmed up to how cute they were. That's how we ended up with all our three cats, chickens, and rabbits. Thank goodness Dale is so kind and gracious and FORGIVING!

ReplyDeleteAnd, bringing home a cat will not ever be entertained by either you or Caroline, I imagine!
Didn't know there were places for a "dog daycare" - great idea, just hope Cathy doesn't take Obie to one cause boy, do we miss him when we don't have him for a while. Maybe one of these days, Jason will see a dog that he just can't resist.
